Staff Engagement with RAP

6799 schools and early learning services have added this Action to their RAP.

Commitment to the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) from all staff is essential for developing a RAP that is implemented in a meaningful and sustainable way. Encourage staff to be involved in the ongoing development and implementation of your RAP through staff development opportunities facilitated by the RAP Working Group.

While the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group mainly drive the development and implementation of the RAP, all staff must support reconciliation to result in meaningful, long-term change.

Staff meetings or professional learning sessions about the RAP and reconciliation broadly can:

  • keep staff in your school or early learning service up to date with RAP progress
  • seek input on RAP initiatives from staff members who are not in the Working Group.

These sessions can also be a good opportunity to engage all staff in professional learning around certain RAP Actions.

This can help to foster a deeper understanding of your school or early learning service’s commitment to reconciliation.
