Margaret Ives Community Children's Centre - Norwood

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision at Margaret Ives Community Children's Centre is to recognise and embrace the First Peoples and the histories of our Land, by acknowledging, respecting, representing, reflecting and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across all rooms within our centre, as a whole centre approach. We aim to achieve this through various symbolic and meaningful activities and experiences, displays, formalised acknowldegments and connections made with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will work towards reconciliation by forming and extending these relationships, knowledge/history and spirit to our children, staff, families and broader community, in the present and future years ahead.
