Sesame Lane Child Care (Morayfield)

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Sesame Lane Morayfield is dedicated to developing an awareness of reconciliation throughout our local community where respect for First Nations peoples and cultures will be embedded throughout our programs and everyday practices. We will create a safe space that is free of racism, and where First Nations peoples can feel a sense of belonging.

We will seek to build stronger relationships based upon trust and respect with our local Gubbi Gubbi community and will seek to ensure equal and equitable enrolment and participation opportunities for children and their families in our centre.

Our vision is for our workforce to encourage and support educators who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to feel and be valued and appreciated and to foster appropriate opportunities for these educators to proudly and safely share their cultures, knowledge and expertise with all in our community.

Sesame Lane Child Care strives to be an organisation that is active in supporting reconciliation across our everyday business and community engagement activities.

We are committed to ensuring that every child and family has strong knowledge and understanding of the continued significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures and of the stories and wisdom that Australia’s First Peoples offer us.
