Bela Babes

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to restore the connection between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community and to create a better understanding, respect and peace towards Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We would like for the children within our service to learn these traits through the experiences and learning opportunities we provide, and in doing this, adopt acceptance towards all cultures based on a respectful, trusting and positive attitude.

We want to be more proactive as the Bela Babes community in connecting with the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our centre resides, the Cameraygal people, connecting with them to build a friendship and, together, teach the children about the local culture and traditions.
