Reconciliation is woven through everything we do. We understand our responsibility to ensure the current and next generations of Australians grow up with connection to and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and histories.

Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Wendouree acknowledges and values the cultural histories, heritages and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our vision is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as being the First Nations people of Australia.

We will engage with reconciliation through:

•Recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ dynamic and diverse cultures and identities. •Acknowledging the deep connections with and custodianship of the Land since time immemorial. •Valuing the contributions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People make to Australian culture and society and early learning sector. •Recognising that in order to influence the policies and practices of government and other decision makers, there must be multi-layered action at local, regional, state, national and international levels. •We encouage our local community to be part of our Centre community to enhance children's, Educators and families knowledge and participation.
