Dominican Primary School’s vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Original Custodians of these Lands.
Through gaining understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, students and staff will become transformed learners with an impetus to pursue a just society.
Our Dominican Pillars of Ministry, Prayer, Study, Community and Truth form the paradigm, shape our educational and social undertakings, providing guidance as we seek to explore what reconciliation means at Dominican Primary School.
We aim to provide an educational environment that acknowledges all students as individual identities situated within various cultural contexts. We seek to promote the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians to Australia throughout history and today and acknowledge the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
