At Casa Bambini Coburg, our vision for reconciliation is to understand and integrate the meaning of reconciliation throughout our entire service, embedding the true histories and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our everyday programs and practice. We believe that reconciliation involves recognising and addressing the historical injustices faced by First Nation People communities while promoting a future where equality, equity cultural diversity, and social harmony flourish. We aim to educate children about Australia's true histories, fostering respect and understanding for reconciliation and the Land's Traditional Owners.
Casa Bambini aims to bridge the gap of equity and equality between First Nations and non-Aboriginal communities, providing a safe and inclusive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We will continue to support all children to thrive and achieve positive outcomes by working in partnership with their families. We are committed to building strong relationships with an open-door policy, and warmly welcoming Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We look forward to collaborating to build connections, create meaningful experiences, and foster mutual understanding of the past.
We strive to create a culturally safe learning environment that incorporates First Nations perspectives and knowledge into our curriculum, ensuring children develop a sense of belonging. At Casa Bambini Coburg, we have zero tolerance for any biased behaviour based on skin colour, age, or appearance.
Casa Bambini Coburg is dedicated to creating an environment that is culturally safe by embracing diversity, fostering understanding, and promoting reconciliation. We are committed to reconciliation, promoting an understanding of valuing cultural diversity, and creating an inclusive environment that celebrates the rich heritage of the Wurundjeri people and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People within our learning community.
