Our vision at Essex Heights Juniors ELC is to visibly and respectfully embed, value and respect the living cultures, stories, histories and unique connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have to the Land on which our service is situated and acknowledge our shared national and local histories. We aim to build genuine, respectful relationships between the First Nations People in the community, including the children, their families and the staff who attend our service. At Essex Heights Juniors ELC we provide a range of learning experiences and opportunities in respectful ways which enhances everyone's knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ heritages. This encourages connectedness to First Nations People within our service and the broader community, maintaining positive relationships and links to the Wurundjeri people which is being embedded throughout our educational programs and daily routines.
