Our vision at Sunkids Calamvale Central for reconciliation begins with acknowledgment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Original Owners and Custodians of Lands across Australia.
Being diverse in our approach within our service we want to ensure that we have a service which is embedded with rich culture, exceptional learning, education and respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge and respect all First Nations cultures, beliefs, histories and views establishing an understanding with deep connections, respect, equity and equality.
Our service plays a key role and responsibility in actively recognising that a child's connection to their culture and community is essential in building a sense of belonging.
Our commitment is to grow individually and as a team, we wish to advocate the rights of all First Nations children and all children, building meaningful and sustainable inclusion of all cultures.
As a whole service we are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to respectfully embedding and incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum and Educational Program.
As we continue this RAP on our ongoing reconciliation journey, we wish to continue our understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with our commitment to mutual respect, trust and supporting reconciliation.
We will continue to work towards connecting and building partnerships with local communities to work together as one in strengthening a sense of belonging and inclusiveness within and across our service.
