Our vision for reconciliation at Little Whalers childcare is to create a learning environment that helps to foster the children's knowledge, understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures within Denmark and the wider community. We strive to show an ongoing commitment to reconciliation through respectfully developing children, families, educators and the wider communities understating of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives with the aim of respectfully embedding these within all aspects of our curriculum and routines.
We will continue to develop cultural responsiveness amongst staff, children and families and encourage them to show care and respect for Country and the Traditional Owners and Elders, past, present and future.
