Koala Childcare & Early Learning Centre Warrnambool's vision for reconciliation is for all staff, children, families and the community to build respect for and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories. We strive, as a service, to continue to build and foster genuine respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to help guide us in our reconciliation journey through consultation and communication. We will commit to and support staff learning (or unlearning/relearning) about reconciliation to ensure cultural responsiveness. Reconciliation will be modelled and taught within our service, through the respectful embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum to and learning environments ensure we are an inclusive, respectful and culturally safe place for all staff, children and families.
