Our vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally safe and responsive community where we will consistently embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's perspectives into our programs and practices through meaningful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to gain a deeper understanding of the First Peoples of Australia, their histories and cultures and ways of being to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as well as non-Indigenous children, their families and the wider community. We acknowledge and celebrate the rich diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories and acknowledge and recognise past and present injustices Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have and continue to face. Through working with children, families and the community we aim to model inclusion and respect for diverse perspectives, by enhancing all children’s experiences and assisting in the authentic advancement of reconciliation. It is a commitment for children and young people to learn about what has come before and working together for what is to come, developing active and involved citizens with a drive to instill change.
