VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation at Evans Park ELC & Kindergarten is for our children, staff and community to:

  • Have a better understanding of  First Nations cultures and heritages
  • Acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  histories and respectfully embed inclusive practices moving forward
  • Recognise, celebrate and embrace the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and value the central role they plays in our community
  • Strive for equity and equality for all
  • Engage our school community in striving for reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community

As educators we aspire to do this by supporting our community to develop an understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritages and continuing contributions.

We aspire to make the above practices and relationships an embedded part of everyday practice and learning.
