At Edge Early Learning Royal Park, our vision for reconciliation is to create an environment that celebrates and embraces the First Peoples of Australia. We acknowledge and respect First Nations Peoples and their rights to this Land. We also recognise the knowledges and cultures that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families contribute to our service.
We aim to collaborate with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and respectfully include their views and understanding of the Land in our programs. This will ensure we promote an environment and program that reflects our nation’s histories and the wealth of knowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples contribute.
It is our vision that all children feel a sense of Belonging within our service, and we strive to achieve this by recognising and celebrating our differences. We are passionate about providing all children with opportunities to learn, grow and explore on their reconciliation journeys. We will achieve this by ensuring that all children and families are given the same opportunities to access our high-quality education and care.
Our service hopes to educate our children, families and educators in First Nations People’s unique relationship with the land, waterways and history so that we can support educating more culturally responsive individuals. By addressing racism, bias and inequity in the early years, we hope to shape more fair, just and unbiased adults of the future.
